guy would tell me how metal is special or different than other sorts of music. and does music reflects personality

1. Metal is usually very aggressive and obscure music, and usually uses heavy guitar and blast beats. Certain types of metal reflect different types of personality. Such as: People that listen to mainly death metal are usually more aggressive people. (That is not a stereotype, it is true to many)
2. well metal is very different and is like the one who started it all. it came from hard rock and all this other stuff joined in and started all this other stuff like punk came from metal it evolved and like some bands mixed metal with other stuff like rage against the machine mixed metal with rap.so it reflects its personality like by saying slayer for example came from a very like angry songs and other bands came on because of them like really antichrist bands and stuff like chains strted a bunch of metal/grunge
3. Metal is one of the most diverse types of music. For instance, Listen to the song Master Of Puppets. In the middle of the song it goes from fast and heavy to a slower tempo with some very melodic guitar. The drastic change that happens there would not be found in many other types of music. Just one example.
4. It is high powered with a lot of energy. There are different genres depending on the lyrics, style, and speed of the song. Most people listen to it because they like how much energy it has.
5. I think people that listen to metal are very confident and happy with themselves. Since metal is just a different genre than hip-hop, pop and all that stuff out there for... just background noise, us metalheads are just willing to try something new. And you know what, IT FREAKING RULES.
6. It's kind of does. But, I don't personally listen to it, but I've heard it, and I can tolerate it for a while.
7. No other form of music is as diverse as metal. It shares equal bloodlines with blues, classical, classic/hard rock, punk, and prog rock. You can do so much with it. With other styles, they are more or less limited to a small amount of moods. Metal is more than just screaming and playing fast, there are just as many REAL singers in metal bands as there are growlers, there's a whole sub-genre of metal devoted to playing slow (doom), and there's a whole range of different atmospheres and emotions within metal.
